Christopher Stone
Managing Partner
Chris attended Arizona State University and John Marshall Law School and has worked within the cannabis industry in Illinois since 2013.
Chris has extensive experience within the alcohol and video gaming industries in Illinois, and his work within the cannabis industry has helped to write and shape the laws that helped to legalize medicinal and recreational cannabis in Illinois.
George Petrilli
General Counsel
George received his law degree from Southern Illinois University and has been a practicing attorney since 2010. His expertise is in patent law, and he has extensive experience working in legislative affairs within state government.
George has counseled small businesses and startup clients on entity formation, labor and employment issues, and contract interpretation. He also has experience in litigation at the circuit and appellate levels throughout Illinois.
Justin Dewitt
Health & Safety
Justin has over 30 years of experience in leading public and private organizations, including the Illinois Department of Public Health and statewide COVID-19 operations.
His expertise in regulatory compliance and environmental health are paramount to the work CoPack does. His background in engineering and technical operations has paved the way for success.
Joe Kienzler
VP Sales
Joe has been at the forefront of the cannabis industry in Illinois, having previous experience within the Illinois State Department of Agriculture.
His work was central to planning the first three Illinois Hemp Summits, working with growers, processors, and other industry professionals.
He has knowledge and expertise from “seed to sale” and is familiar with cultivation, packaging, and the retail environment.
Vincent Owens
Extraction Manager
Vincent joined Springfield Seed in December 2023, but his nine years of industry experience make him an invaluable asset to our team.
Vincent holds a Masters in Environmental and Sustainability Engineering from University of Colorado Denver. Vincent’s leadership and expertise have been instrumental in beginning our operations.
Lacey McCormick
Controller
Lacey is new to the cannabis industry, but her expertise in accounting and willingness to learn a new industry makes her the perfect person to handle day-to-day finances for CoPack.
Lacey holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Illinois – Springfield.
